Baby Hugo has arrived!

Hi to all, this is Kate.

I just talked to Lit, who was talking to John, so she cut me off pretty quickly. But, the baby has arrived, safe and sound. All I know so far is he is healthy, and he is named Hugo. I will write more as I find out more.

Yeah! Happy News!

Paul, Margaret and I visited Mama and Papa yesterday afternoon. Mary and Liti visited in the morning. It was a visit similar to the last several. Papa tried to concentrate...but it was a struggle. He sat up for our visit. Mama was in bed...and was saying more words than she has in a long time. She was very happy to see Paul. She was very overwhelmed with emotion and ranged from smiling, to crying, to being scared. Like I said...it was all status quo. I am waiting on a phone call from hospice...I have a message in to see how the evaluation went, and any updates on Papa.

That's all for now.

Love,

Kate

Hi from Fran.

What great news about baby Hugo! Thanks for the update.

I spoke with Mary yesterday afternoon. She and Rich and Lita and Bob had gone to see mama yesterday morning. Mary had taken quiche and sticky buns to mama for
Mother's Day (this is what she has fixed for the last 4 or five years for mama for Mother's Day brunch). Mama did eat a little of the quiche and the sticky buns. She didn't really speak much and kept pulling at herself (almost like she couldn't stand anything touching her). I had sent Mary some clothes I had gotten for Mama.
Mary said she tried to put an outfit on Mama and she said it was like working with dead weight. All in all it was not a really good visit.

They all went to see papa after that and it was about the same as your visit. Mary said it appears papa is having trouble verbalizing(as we have all noted).

I am glad they had lots of visitors
yesterday. Oh go figure...mom was happy to see Paul...what about her daughters???
