Hi from Tish (4/15/08 12:00 p.m.): I have not heard from the Forum yet about Papa's Megace or the use of Ensure. If I don't hear in next couple of hours, I will contact them to inquire about hospice's input on this. Could be (re. meds) that Freidenberg feels it's time to wean Papa off his medications (other than those that are intended to make him comfortable, etc during this time). In any case, if I hear anything, I will post it.
Re this weekend, since Fran's going to be home, was wondering if anyone had any interest in trying to get together for dinner on Saturday. Know it's hard with family etc obligations, but thought it would be nice.
Love, T.

I would love to get together with you guys on Saturday night...BUT...I will be sleeping on the floor of COSI with Nicole's Girl Scout Troop. I'm the leader, so I can't be a no show. I am available for Saturday breakfast or lunch. But not available from Saturday 5pm until Sunday 1pm.
I think dinner is a great idea Tish, and I hope you get some takers. Thanks for the update on meds.
Kate
You know me and food...I am always
game...let me get with Mary as I am staying with her. I'll try to
firm up tomorrow. Keep us posted
on the meds Tish.
Hi guys!
I'm with Kate - Saturday breakfast works better for us.
I've met many of the staff from hospice now. From memory, the nurse indicated we were changing Papa from Ensure to Glycerna for his diabetes. I also told everyone about the notebook in Papa's bedside table to communicate directly with the family.
Tish - Kate told me that we will be meeting for breakfast at Bob Evans on Post Road at 9am. * I will be there with at least some of my boys will be in tow.*
Regarding Mama's broken window. Yesterday the window was repaired with regular glass. Apparently maintenance decided it was better to break the law by putting in regular glass than to be held accountable for Mama's deterioration or escape. Today the window will be replaced with plexiglass.
I understand that Mary has a stomach bug and hope she gets well soon.
I've applied for a couple of very interesting jobs and hope I will receive a positive response soon.
Love from your favorite
Margaret
