Had dinner with Noelita & Bob last night, and they are doing well and anxious to move into their new place. She is getting used to her new electric wheelchair.

Hey everyone
I've been silent too long and feel compelled to write. Lita says that they are moving May 4. I hope to help them a bit with that.
Jason - I loved the pictures and they sure did bring back memories! You always got Kate and me confused; you finally sorted us out when Kate had braces and I didn't.
Finally, I was not happy on Friday night when I went to the Memory Care unit. Mama was supposed to arrive at 7pm; however, the aides had been told she would be there at 7:30. I don't know any details, but Mom was in a strait jacket when she arrived after 9pm. When I arrived at Memory Care, her room was dark and cold - even worse, her window still had not be repaired!
I asked where she was supposed to sleep since I thought it a bad idea to put her in a room with an unsecured window. The aides were going to put her into another cold room that was being painted. I was getting fairly upset by this time.
I finally decided the best choice of two bad choices was to have her stay in her own room. There was cardboard in the window, I cranked the heat so it would be warm as Mom likes it, I turned on the lights and got out a nightgown for her.
I met Mama at the front door as she was brought in from the ambulance. She was crying and clearly terrified. The relief on her face at seeing a familiar face was immense. I am so glad I could be there!
Mama asked about Papa immediately. I got her to drink a bit and asked the aides to tell Mama that her husband says she has to drink. I'm concerned that if she doesn't start drinking more she will just have another bladder infection.
Mama was asleep when I left. I did not visit Sat or Sun, but will visit both Mom and Pops on Monday.
I am so glad to be here and share all of these dramas with my brothers and sisters!
Did you guys hear that Jena Albers entered the Dublin Idol and made it to the final ten? I plan on telling everyone that I'm her favorite aunt!
Love from your favorite
Margaret
More about Jena & The Final 10, please. Had no idea. Congrats to her!

Note from Tish 9:07 a.m. 4/14/08: Hi everyone. Went to visit Mama on Saturday, and upon my arrival, she was in good spirits. Michael & Debbie had been there and apparently I missed them by 5 min. Sorry to have missed you guys...it's been ages. Mama's window in her room still had cardboard in it, but the repair had been ordered. It's my understanding that it will be repaired today.
Mama wanted to visit Papa so I took her across the street. Papa was napping and did not look good to me. His face and hand were extremely swollen. M & P exchanged hugs, kisses and I love you's and then we left to let Papa sleep. Unfortunately, this visit was very hard on Mama. She cried a lot and kept telling me she wanted to go home. She kept asking me if we were going to take her furniture when she moved. Anyway, I finally got her to take a nap and asked the nurse to look in on her.
I know Kate/Jim and Liti/Bob visited on Sunday, and I think it was a much better visit all way around. Kate told me Papa looked much better and was able to move to the chair. I'm sure Kate will fill you all in on the news.
Mags, I think Lit and Bob will be moving before the 4th. I believe the new buyers want to be in the house no later than the end of this month. But I'll let L & B tell you all about that.
Welcome home Rich & Mary.
Fran, looking forward to seeing you.
Everyone, have a good week. Love, T.

Just heard from LPN @ Forum. Dr. Freidenberg gave orders to discontinue 1 of Papa's meds (Megace) and to increase his Ensure. Megace helps to stimulate appetite. This was due to a recent wt gain of 12 lbs. I indicated orders worried me a bit. Freidenberg has not seen Papa since 3/17 and I am thinking that wt gain might be due to fluid retention and not Papa's eating. I mentioned this to Laura (LPN) and also mentioned that hospice had indicated that Ensure had lots of sugar in it and this caused concern due to Papa's 2 conditions. I asked if she could call hospice and consult with them. She will get back to me after she has talked to hospice.
