Weekend Update

Hi...this is Kate.

Fran was in for the weekend, and she, Mary and Tish went to see Mama and Papa. The update that I got from Fran sounded like Mama and Papa were holding their own, but not great. Papa was not swollen, but was very weak and very tired. He could not go see Mama but wanted to visit with her, so they brought Mama to Papa. Mama was not very responsive and I understand the visit was sad for all.

Mary and Fran were able to go buy Mama some clothes...they had hoped to take her out to do this with them, but that just wasn't workable. They also were able to bring Papa some food from Bravo, which he seemed to really like. (Again, he wasn't interested in going with them, but enjoyed the food they brought to him).

The sisters all met for breakfast at Bob Evans on Saturday, and that was very enjoyable...maybe next time the brothers can join us? You know that we talk about whoever doesn't show up ?!?! That is the rule :):):)

I will visit Mama and Papa tomorrow and will update from my perspective. Fran was quite down after her visit and felt that Papa was really fading. Mama is struggling quite a bit with eating now...and really requires much help during mealtime. If you visit her, please make sure to offer her a drink of water, I don't think she is getting enough liquids, and this has also been a concern of Margaret's.

The pictures are great Jason...My favorites are the ones from the 80's with the big hairdos...We were styling! Hoping to hear news from John and Amber soon about little Hugo (if that is still the name they choose). And Liti and Bob should be closing this week on both houses...keep them in your prayers that all goes uneventfully! We will be looking for volunteers to help organize the new house on Saturday May 3, and I'm sure they could probably use help Sunday, May 4 as well. Movers will be doing the big move, but they will need assistance moving furniture to the right places and decorating, and setting up. (Debbie this organizing sounds right up your alley :) Speaking of that...Debbie is your website up and going for Clutterbye? Please post it when it is, so we can all check it out.

I think that is all for now...I'm off to run my girls to all of their activities for the next two hours and then Megan and I are heading to Polaris to make one last ditch effort to find a reasonably cheap prom dress...PRAY FOR US!!!
