Old Family Pictures

April 2008

Hey Guys,

I recently found a bunch of old photo albums, that somehow ended up on my bookshelf. Some old photo albums that I had collected or been given to me, from my parents. Lots of kids pictures, lots of 70s pictures, etc.

I got very nostalgic, looking at em. I tried to think of a good way to share them with everyone. I wanted to offer everyone the opportunity to see them! It has been very cool for me, to see everyone in my families, in a different light! (Seeing grandparents as parents, aunts and uncles as kids, parents as young adults, etc). I also wanted to offer everyone the opportunity to have the originals, if they want em. I set out to scan them all into my computers, to have digital copies of them, in case something were ever to happen to the originals (lost during a move, etc) Very OCD of me, I know.

So, since most of the family is spread out across the states, I figured posting em on-line would work. Not as personal of a thing, but still fun. The link is below. Just click it. And if you want any of the originals of you or your family, please just let me know! If the quantity leans heavy of Jason & Noelita & Keith pictures, I'm sure you'll be sure to razz me for it at the next family function.

I thought it would be nice to make some sort of collage with em, for the next family get-together or something, or email them to each individual. And then I realized what a HUGE project it is, even trying to organize them all, and scan each page into the computer, etc. It took hours and hours and weeks of work. With how much I work every week and "life" stuff, I simply did not have the time at all to invest as much as I'd like into this project. I have about 4-5 more photo albums to scan, so I may be posting updates of new pictures in the next few weeks, depending on if I have time to keep working on it.

So, I hope this will suffice! And I hope you guys have fun seeing these old pictures. MAYBE IT WILL BRING BACK SOME GOOD MEMORIES AND MAKE YOU SMILE! That was really my intention! I BELIEVE you can print them also, from photobucket.com. Or right click the file, and "Save As" onto your computer, then print, or do what you like with them! For the older people in the family that don't use computers much, I would appreciate it if we could still show them somehow. Please feel free to show them the pictures via your laptop or prints!

O.K. Jason, I came in to the office today to get some work done...instead I spent 45 minutes "walking down memory lane". Your mom was so beautiful, wasn't she? I loved looking at these pictures...wow! we were so young...what happened? And you...I
always tell your mom that I would recognize you anywhere, even if I
hadn't seen you in years. Your face looks just the same. Thanks for all the sweet memories. We need something right now to smile about.

Love,

Aunt Fran

Thanks Fran! Glad you got distracted from work. Sometimes that is necessary. Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Yes, my mom definately was very beautiful. Theres something fun about jogging old memories.

I personally like the pictures of the old house with rooms in the basement (Can't think of the name of the street right now). And black & white pictures are always beautiful!

Had dinner with Noelita & Bob last night, and they are doing well and anxious to move into their new place. She is getting used to her new electric wheelchair.

For you "Out-of-town"-ers: Heres a link, to pictures.
